Membership entails sending a contribution at the various membership levels as listed on our form or on the envelope that is enclosed with the newsletter. Different levels receive different perks...each one varies. (Membership form can be downloaded from the website.) As a member, you will receive the quarterly newsletter, and may be entitled to forum vouchers, depending on your tax-deductible donation. |
Why does membership (according to the website) expire on May 31st 2010 when the film forum is in June? |
| |
Membership expires at the end of May for ease of book keeping. There are only two weeks between expiration of membership and the film forum so in actuality the membership goes from one Film Forum to the next. Memberships are accepted at any time during the year. |

| |
The film schools that participate in Sleepless In Lake Placid are invited to participate. There are no open submissions. The students are given a concept by our coordinators, a list of elements that must be included in the film, and then they are given 24 hours to write, shoot and develop it into a 10 minute DVD. It's a lesson in "start to finish" production. |
How do I submit a film? Will there be a competition? What recognition will I get? |
| |
Submissions are closed as of 4/15/10 for the LPFF presents Shorts & Featurettes and the North Country Shorts. All other films are selected by the program committee which is Kathleen Carroll, Artistic Director, and Russell Banks, Advisor, and occasionally recommended by Owen Shapiro, of the Syracuse Film Festival, and TJ Brearton, project specialist for the Adirondack Film Society. |
